Our meetings are led by pastor Jay Stapleton. Jay and his wife Monica moved to Daytona Beach Shores in March '09. Jay, Monica, and their three kids are originally from California. While attending Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa from 1981- 1995, Jay led the counseling team for the Greg Laurie outreaches, oversaw the New Believer ministry, and taught home studies. From 1991-1995 he served as the full time high school Bible teacher and Activities Director at Calvary Chapel High School.

In 1995, Jay and Monica moved to northern CA to plant and pastor Calvary Chapel Petaluma. Nine years later, in early 2004, Jay turned the church over to its youth pastor, and began moving around the country planting churches and leading Bible studies. For the past 5 years the Stapletons have planted churches and led fellowships in Racine WI, Santa Rosa CA, Colorado Springs CO, Arcola VA, Springfield OR, Windsor CA, and Haymarket VA.

In early 2008, with the help and support of friends in California, Jay launched National Prayer Minute, an internet-based prayer ministry geared towards leading Christians in intercessory prayer for the United States. After years of travel the Stapleton family is looking forward to settling down in the Shores, establishing a Calvary Chapel based ministry, and reaching as many lives in the Daytona area for Jesus Christ as they possibly can.
